NAKA Release Notes v1.4.0

June 2023

NEW FEATURES

| SMART NPC

Use all the generative AI power to create smarter experiences using the new NAKA Smart NPCs. Create Smart NPC (Non Player Characters) connected to generative Open AI software in Azure.

NPC uses a 3D mesh model to create a representation of the NPC and allow users to talk with them and get answers using natural language.

It's as simple as providing context for the NPC, allowing us to deliver the expected behaviour for each NPC.

Smart NPCs are not limited to conversations: with a well-defined context is possible to receive NAKA commands as answers, that could be used to interact with other experience elements.

REACTIONS

Create more engaging multi-users experience with the new NAKA Reactions.
Use reactions in multi-user experience to react to what's happening in the experience.
A reaction could be a combination of facial expression, gesture and flying icons, as in social platforms.

NEW ANALYTICS

Now it's possible to better understand the usage of the NAKA experiences and the engagement that the solution is generating among your users. Discover active users, sessions or bounce rates; understand the evolution, discover the most viewed experiences by time or by active users and use all this information to improve your VR strategy.

GRAB AND DROP

It’s possible to enhance the functionality of your experiences by incorporating the grab and drop action. A newly developed Grab Gadget Component enables you add this behaviour to any NAKA Gadget. By utilizing the Grab Gadget Component, you gain the ability to define various physics parameters, including mass, gravity, and whether the object can be thrown, among others.

The NAKA SDK has recently been expanded to provide support for custom Grab & Drop functionality. This exciting enhancement allows gadget developers to seamlessly incorporate grab and drop capabilities directly into their own gadgets.
